I always treat arachnophobia and ophidiophobia with respect; I can’t hold it against someone for being afraid of things that evolution has taught us to fear. Our very very very distant ancestors went so far out of their way to avoid spiders and snakes that doing so was burned into our genes and became instinct. Clearly humans had some seriously shitty encounters with these murderers for it to get to this point.
